Dentures are a cost-effective, removable solution for replacing multiple missing teeth.
With the progress that’s occurred in the world of dentistry over the past decade, dentures are now very natural-looking, comfortable and made from durable and high quality materials.
What are dentures?
Dentures are a commonly used restoration for replacing missing teeth, which is very much in the interests of your health and your happiness. Losing teeth can have a profound impact on your self-image – it’s not uncommon for patients to cease smiling altogether when they have lost multiple teeth. So, not only do dentures tackle the issue of lost tooth function, they can improve your wellbeing and happiness levels day-to-day.
Whilst complete dentures replace a full arch of teeth (this is for patients who have lost all their teeth), partial dentures replace one or more missing teeth, and can be used if you still have some of your natural teeth.
We also offer implant retained dentures, which stabilise dentures securely in place using dental implants. If you’re looking for the highest degree of stability and wish to preserve the health of your jawbone in the long term, implant retained dentures are an excellent solution.
What to expect from dentures treatment?
Examination: as with all tooth replacement treatments we offer, we will first perform a full examination of your mouth, to identify your suitability for dentures. We will outline your options, as we offer multiple other treatments for missing teeth here at InnovaDent Dental Clinic.
Preparation: if dentures are the treatment you and your dentist have decided upon, the preparation stage can begin. 3D images of your teeth are taken, which are used by the dental technician, to create your custom dentures.
Fitting: your dentures will be sent back, and we can invite you to the practice for a fitting appointment, to make sure your new teeth will be an optimum fit for your mouth, and function well.
