I nornally dread going to dental appointments as they are quite uncomfortable and always feel so long but today I went for a dental hygenist appointment with Gita and she was extremely thorough, informative and the time really did fly by! Amazing experience today at this clinic - for starters it is super clean, modern, and well equipped. Gita the hygienist was lovely and very professional. She diagnosed a few flaws in my flossing technique and gave me some great tips on how to improve, including some I haven’t heard of before. All the staff was very professional and easy to deal with. Highly recommended!

I recently visited for a check up Dr Meldrum who was really lovely and took the time to explain everything to me. After that I had an hygienist appointment with Dr Gita Broka who was so gentle and really eased my nerves as someone who hates coming to the dentist. Highly recommend!

I felt welcomed and at ease from the moment I stepped into their clinic. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, if you can say so about a dental clinic :). The hygienist Gita was friendly, professional, gentle, took the time to listen to any concerns and thoroughly talked to me about each step of the process, making sure I felt comfortable throughout my visit.I felt confident in her expertise and left with a smile that I am proud to show off, and I will definitely be returning for all my future dental needs.

I have been attending the InnovaDent since it opened I am extremely happy with the way they treat their patients. I get seen by Lisa she is such an amazing person not once did she make me feel uncomfortable all the staff are friendly. It’s beautiful and airy. I have had very bad experience with other dentist I am extremely happy with the service they providing they really do take care of their patients. I have also been given a treatment plan with all the breakdown which is extremely helpful. They also have a payment plan which really helpful for those who would like to pay monthly. I can guaranty you will not be disappointed with at all. One of the best dentist better than the NHS

I had an issue with a cracked tooth which has been resolved quickly by the friendly staff at InnovaDent who booked me in on the same day for treatment. They have great facilities on site and clinic is very close to the station. Strongly Recommended!!

We strongly recommend coming in for routine dentist appointments, during which mouth cancer screening is performed.

We will diligently look for any concerning symptoms and can arrange for a referral for further investigation if necessary. We know the ‘C’ word can be a scary prospect, and wish for patients to know that they will be supported, and are free to voice any concerns or worries they have, to our friendly and experienced team.

What is mouth cancer screening?

Mouth cancer screening is carried out during your routine dentist appointments, and if caught early, patients have a significantly likely chance of a full recovery. With this in mind, it’s essential that you never miss an appointment.

The steps taken by your dentist during mouth cancer screening appointments

Your dentist will take the following steps when screening for mouth cancer:

Ask you about your lifestyle, so risk factors can be established.

Help you formulate a plan to reduce risk factors (such as smoking and excessive alcohol consumption) if you feel you need help with this.

Look for white and red patches in the mouth or on the tongue.

Look for lumps around the neck area.

Ask you if you have been experiencing pain when swallowing.

Ask you if you have experienced anything changes to the way you speak.

Look for ulcers or sores that don’t appear to be healing.

If you notice any of the changes above, please don’t leave it until your routine appointment to get in touch.

It’s always better to get checked out, and we always prefer patients to come and see us if they’re worried, even if all turns out to be well.
